Getting married Abroad
I have always liked the idea of getting married abroad. When I got married I kept threatening to go to Las Vegas and get married there. We joked about it a lot because a lot of my husbands family turned their nose up at the idea and so we kept pretending we were going to do it. I really liked the idea of going abroad, just the two of us and getting married on a beach somewhere in a really romantic way. However, our families would be offended if we had not invited them and so we decided to forget the idea in the end. Part of the attraction for me was the cost as we would not have had to worry about wedding cars and finding cheap wedding favors (not that we bothered with wedding favors anyway) and things like that. I also thought that it would be far less stressful if we didn’t have to worry about anyone else. We ended up getting married in a local hotel and let the hotel worry about the food and flowers and drinks and we just enjoyed ourselves with just nine guests and it was lovely fun.
