Studying on Holiday

I decide that I would look into the service of rent textbook this year as I have been finding student life really expensive. I was really pleased that the books came in really early and so I was able to take them on holiday with me and start studying early. I assumed that text book rental would mean that it would take a while for the books to reach me, but that was not the case which is great. I now just have to motivate myself to do some reading while on holiday! I am sure will manage a bit while I am on the plane, but once I actually get to my destination, I think I will find it much more distracting! Still I will feel better knowing that I have made the effort to bring them with me, even if I have not done a lot with them!

What to Do When Travelling

It can often be hard knowing what to do when travelling to places especially if you are going a long distance. The joy with trains, planes and boats is that you do not ave to worry about driving and you tend to have a little more room than in a car. You often have a small table that you can use to do things as well. I have seen people doing all sorts of things from knitting to reading and it is well worth thinking about what you want to do to pass the time. I have seen someone with stationery, catching up with their letter writing and I think that is a great idea. It is good if you can do some chores while travelling. Of course, these days many people choose to sit behind their computers or spend the time on the telephone. I always think t is good to do something that you wouldn’t normally do make the most of the time away from the house. The last time I had a long trip, I took the time to write some party invitations that I needed to get done, it was very satisfying and fun and it was great to tell the guests at the party that I write their invitations on a plane!

Getting married Abroad

I have always liked the idea of getting married abroad. When I got married I kept threatening to go to Las Vegas and get married there. We joked about it a lot because a lot of my husbands family turned their nose up at the idea and so we kept pretending we were going to do it. I really liked the idea of going abroad, just the two of us and getting married on a beach somewhere in a really romantic way. However, our families would be offended if we had not invited them and so we decided to forget the idea in the end. Part of the attraction for me was the cost as we would not have had to worry about wedding cars and finding cheap wedding favors (not that we bothered with wedding favors anyway) and things like that. I also thought that it would be far less stressful if we didn’t have to worry about anyone else. We ended up getting married in a local hotel and let the hotel worry about the food and flowers and drinks and we just enjoyed ourselves with just nine guests and it was lovely fun.

Exciting Times

I am about to go on a training course and I am really looking forward to it. It is going to be showing me how to use the Avaya partner ACS system which the office are just buying. The course, I am sure will be as exciting as the one that I recently did about the polycom soundstation but what I am looking forward to is some time out of the office. It is not often that I get this sort of opportunity because the department is very busy and the work we do does not involve meeting customers or clients or anything like that. The course is quite far away and so I will get to go on the train and stay overnight which will be great. We get given money to pay for the hotel and meals and so I plan to book the cheapest that I can and pocket the difference. I see it as a perk and I will be able to use it to pay for a few luxuries. It will be great to be out and about in the evenings with work colleagues as well as normally we are too stressed out or tired to do that normally. I just hope that I do not catch the swine flu that is going round because then I may have to miss the course.

Entertainment on the Plane

I am not too keen on air travel. I have to do a lot of it and I feel like it is wasted time. It is fortunate that I am able to take my laptop on the plane these days as that makes it far more interesting for me. I have decided that I am going to do some courses while on the plane. I find it quite interesting to concentrate on learning in that sort of environment as there are no distraction of the phone or people asking me things. I get food and drinks brought to me so I can just focus on the learning. For my next journey I have decided to sign up for a new course using computer based training. I have some good headphones and I am sure that it will be a great way to spend the time - especially as the flight is a very long one and there is likely to be a lot of hanging around at the airport beforehand too. I am just choosing between CBT direct and LearnKey for the course that I will use and then I will be all set.

A Study Holiday

Doing a MCSE bootcamp is probably not many peoples idea of a good holiday but I love learning new things and so have decided that it is what I am going to do. I find that any change from normal, moving away from home for a while and doing something different is a great break for me. I hate just doing nothing when I am holiday and so by booking up the Microsoft boot camp it means that I will certainly not be sitting around the house and wasting my holiday. I am really looking forward to the intense study as I have been trying to get this qualification for a while by studying on my own and it will be a real help having others around me doing it as well as having some guidance too. I am hoping that by the end of the boot camp I will be able to pass my exam and then I will be able to move on and study the next course that I want to do.

Achieving Ambitions

It is my dream to fly a mikoyan mig-29 and I have recently heard about this great opportunity there is to do so. Someone that I work with has had a vacation where he has a flight in a mig. It was actually a course which taught him all about fly mig jet and he said it was fascinating. He is going to give me all of the details about it so that I can decide whether I think it is for me. I would love to do the flight training L-39 and I am not worried about that, I am sure that I will be able to pick it up really easily. What worries me most is that fact that once I have done it, then I will have no more ambitions left to do and that saddens me a bit. I could of course, get some more but it would not be the same as having ones which I have had for ages and ages.

My friend has been making me so jealous with tales of her latest holiday. She always goes to the most exotic and luxurious places but this time, instead of going to a smart hotel she tried out someGrand Cayman vacation rentals.
